Fourth of July Shows

An LED screen is clear in full sun, so it can run from late afternoon: the band or the parade on the live camera feed with an operator ($695), sponsor slides between acts, and a countdown to the fireworks. Sunset in July is about 8:37 PM, and the fireworks wait for full dark. Four hours of show time starting at 6 PM run to 10, and each extra hour is $250.

Movies in the Park

In July a projected movie can’t start until about 9:15 PM. An LED screen can start at 8:00 while it’s still light, so a two-hour movie ends by 10. Each night of a summer series is booked as its own date, and each back-to-back night after the first is 50% off the package price. For a fall movie that starts after dark, the $895 inflatable screen works too.

A public screening needs a movie license in the city’s name. The movie night kit ($195) covers coordinating it, and the license fee is billed at cost. How movie licensing works.

Concert Series

With the live camera feed, a screen beside the stage shows the band to people at the back of the lawn. Between sets it carries the schedule, sponsor slides, and announcements. Our technician can connect the screen to the stage sound system, or you can add pro sound ($395). Concerts and festivals.

Tree Lightings and Holiday Festivals

Run a countdown to the lighting, then switch to the camera so the choir and the moment the lights come on are on screen. An LED picture holds up under string lights and streetlights, where a projected one washes out. Holiday events.

Sponsor Recognition

Sponsor loop design ($295) turns up to 10 sponsor logos into slides that run between segments. Sponsor fees can cover part or all of the screen: nine sponsors at $250 to $1,000 add up to a $3,750 Main Event. The sponsor guide has tier prices and an outreach email.

How Buying Works for a City

  • Posted prices. Every package, extra, and fee has a posted price, and your quote uses those prices. Texas sales tax is added unless the city sends its exemption certificate with the deposit.
  • A written quote the same business day. Send the date and the park, and we check availability and email the quote. It lists the screen, the extras, sales tax, and any travel past 30 miles.
  • Holds while council or a board approves. The quote holds the date for 7 days. If council or a parks board has to approve the purchase first, tell us the meeting date and we’ll keep a soft hold until then, up to 30 days, and call before releasing it.
  • Purchase orders. A 25% deposit reserves the date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. If the city pays by purchase order, tell us your terms in your booking request and we’ll set deposit timing to match. We take card, ACH, and check.
  • Vendor registration. We complete vendor registration and provide a W-9. Send the portal link or the vendor packet with your request.

For your vendor file, the one-page price sheet (PDF) lists every package, extra, and fee, with the three guarantees.

Which Screen Fits Your Crowd

Every LED package includes four hours of show time, delivery within 30 miles of downtown Dallas, setup and teardown, onboard generator power, and a technician who stays until pack-up. Nobody on city staff has to run the equipment.

  • Block Party, 12′ × 7′, up to about 300 people: $2,750
  • Main Event, 16′ × 9′, up to about 1,500 people: $3,750
  • Stadium, 17′ × 10′ up to 23′ × 13′, 1,500 to 3,000+ people: from $5,250

Most movies in the park and lawn concerts fit the Main Event. A July 4 show or a festival that draws more than about 1,500 people calls for the Stadium screen. How to size a screen.

What a City Event Costs

A movie in the park on the Main Event screen ($3,750) with the movie night kit ($195) comes to $3,945, plus the license fee. A concert night with the Main Event, the live camera feed ($695), and sponsor loop design ($295) comes to $4,740. Travel past 30 miles is $3 a mile. Full price list.

Rental agreement §3

Posted Pricing

You pay our posted prices, and your written quote lists sales tax and any travel past 30 miles before you book.

Does a booking this size need a competitive bid?

Usually not. Texas cities must use competitive bidding or another competitive method for purchases over $100,000 (Local Government Code §252.021; the limit was $50,000 until September 1, 2025). A screen booking of a few thousand dollars is far below that and is usually bought on a written quote. Your own purchasing policy may still ask for more than one quote, so check with your purchasing office.

What happens if the weather turns?

The screens are weather-rated, so light rain is fine. In lightning or high wind we lower the screen until it passes. If unsafe weather cancels your event, you can move it free to any open date within 12 months. If your date can’t move, like Easter or a graduation, and the call comes before the halfway point of your show, you can choose a refund of everything except the deposit instead.

Does a city event in a city park need a permit?

Your own special events or parks office decides that. Events in public parks or on city streets usually need a special event permit, often 30 to 90 days ahead. If the office needs anything about the screen, such as the screen specs or where the trailer will park, we send it. Permit basics for DFW.

Do we need to provide power?

No. LED trailers run on onboard generators, so the screen can go on a lawn, a parking lot, or a closed street with no outlet nearby. It needs a fairly level spot with room for the trailer and a path the truck can tow through.
