Outdoor Events in Southlake

Stars and Stripes is free. In 2026 the bands played the Rustin Pavilion stage and the Frank Edgar Cornish IV Park stage, with family activities around the square.

For a backyard watch party or an HOA movie night, the first question is size. A 12-foot screen fits most backyards; a 16-foot screen covers a neighborhood lawn. Either one brings its own generator, so nobody strings extension cords across the yard.

Popular Event Ideas

  • Backyard watch parties on the 12-foot screen
  • HOA movie nights on a neighborhood lawn
  • Carroll ISD senior nights
  • Easter services with a live camera feed
  • Company events near Town Square

Planning an Outdoor Event in Southlake

Public events in Southlake center on Town Square, including Rustin Park and Frank Edgar Cornish IV Park.

A public park or street usually needs a special event permit from the City of Southlake, often 30 to 90 days ahead. Private property, such as a church lot or an HOA amenity center, usually doesn’t. More in the permit guide.
